Selfy Studios
Azle-based Selfy Studios allows anyone to create crispy, professional-grade photos of themselves, essentially by themselves.
Not everyone’s blessed with a knack for finding the right angle for Instagram selfies, but there's hope for those who can’t seem to haul in those hearts.
Azle-based Selfy Studios aims to help the general public create professional-grade photos of themselves, essentially by themselves. Guests can set up props, pose, and press a button to capture some high-fidelity selfies.
Since opening June 1, owner and 20-year photographer Tammy Kelly says she's removing “exorbitant” professional fees. “Selfy Pros” are available to steer visitors in the right direction, but it’s largely an independent process. Portraits appear on a large screen shortly after being taken, so details can be fine-tuned.
“This new concept will change the course of professional photography,” the Selfy Studios team says in a news release, “allowing the general public to create and own beautiful, custom photographs at a fraction of the cost.”
A party room complete with a kitchenette can accommodate up to 16 people. The facility features two photography suites and quirky, mid-century modern decor. The whole place can be reserved for up to three hours for parties, and suites can be booked hourly. Check out selfystudios.com for more on pricing.
Selfy Studios has set up shop on Jacksboro Highway just northwest of downtown Azle at 1355 Northwest Parkway, Ste. 105. Call 817-270-2000 to set up an appointment.
