The doors to the newest Billy Reid store at The Shops at Clearfork opened at the start of the month, adding to the expanding designer presence in the shopping center.

Reid added a women’s collection in 2010, and you’ll find a selection of those in the new Clearfork location too, though the majority of the store is made for men. The colors on the designer jeans, shirts, jackets and shoes are rich and ideally fall-forward.
The lightweight jackets were impressive, some of which were unlined while others featured slim down-alternative fills ― ideal for Texas winters. One favorite in particular was a rust-colored oil-cloth jacket with a distinct sheen and texture.
Other showrooms are located around the country, many of which are in the south. There’s currently only one other in the state of Texas, based in Austin. Reid plans to reopen in Dallas and open in Houston soon now that the Fort Worth store is up and running.
A grand opening event is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 15 at the store’s location, 5254 Monahans Ave. The designer himself will be in attendance for a meet-and-greet, and guests will enjoy small bites and pours of The Balvenie: Single Malt Scotch Whiskey through the distiller’s partnership with Reid.
