Morgan Mercantile
With the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention encouraging citizens to wear face masks to protect from COVID-19, local makers and boutiques have been creating their own to help locals stay safe — and also look chic.
Here are six places to find masks.
Gifted
Gifted just put its handmade masks for up pre-sale. Each mask is dyed with all-natural avocado combined with alum or iron. For every mask sold, the shop will donate another to nonprofits. Gifted’s masks come in adult and children’s sizes, and can have a butterfly stitched on the side if requested.
Tribe Alive
Using both handwoven textiles and repurposed denim, Tribe Alive’s masks have two layers for safety and sustainability. Tribe Alive is also committing to a one-for-one donation policy, and for every mask bought, the shop will donate another to facilities in need.
Mener Grand Train Co
Using in-house supplies and materials, Mener Grand Train Co is using its resources to produce canvas masks for the community. Customers have the option to “Buy 1, Donate 1” and donate a mask to an essential worker.
Double R
For every mask sold, Double R is donating a portion of proceeds to the North Texas Food Bank. This boutique is selling a variety of colors, and each is made of double layered luxe cotton.
THREE
THREE boutique is selling washable face masks, each with a pair of lips on the front, in shades ranging from pink to purple.
Morgan Mercantile
Morgan Mercantile is selling “Helping Hands” masks in sets of two. Each mask, made right here in the Fort Worth-Dallas area, has a 100% cotton ripstop outer shell with a breathable fabric lining.
