The Fort Worth Stockyards is inviting families to come by on Memorial Day weekend for grand openings, famiy-friendly activities, and a glass of wine.
The two new shops celebrating grand openings — Lucchese Bootmaker and MB Mercantile & Supply, both located in the Stockyards' new Mule Alley development. Lucchese specializes in Western wear, offering high-end boots, shoes, belts, and other accessories; MB Mercantile & Supply specializes in artisan goods, home décor, confectionery, and vintage finds.
Another upcoming Mule Alley tenant, Cowtown Winery, will sell wine by the bottle or glass that guests can enjoy on the lawn. Offerings include Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, as well as Western-themed wines like Stockyard Peach, Boot Scootin' (Raspberry), and Wild West Berry (Blackberry).
Also open at the Stockyards will be a 200-acre recreation area and the 5,400-square-foot Cowtown Cattlepen Maze. On Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., guests can also participate in the Fort Worth Herd Experience.
Radio celebrities from The Ranch FM and Hank FM will also be present throughout the weekend.
According to a news release, "All participating tenants are taking the proper COVID-19 precautions, mandated by the Texas Department of Health, to ensure guests can shop, dine, and enjoy the great outdoors in a healthy and safe environment. Mule Alley is encouraging guests to practice social distancing, hand sanitization, and face mask protection when visiting."
