Perhaps you’ve given yoga a shot in the past only to be intimidated by an overwhelming amount of unknown. Doors to a new yoga studio will soon open in Fort Worth, and the owners are hoping to attract that crowd.
The first YogaSix in Texas opens March 5 at 5924 Convair Drive, Unit 452. The studio is designed to cater to all ages and ability levels in a welcoming atmosphere with what are described as more modern practices.
Six core formats – Y6 101, Y6 Restore, Y6 Slow Flow, Y6 Hot, Y6 Power, and Y6 Sculpt Flow – will aim to cater to a wide array of individuals. The classes will encompass deep stretching, stress relief, high intensity training, and more.
The Fort Worth location is owned and operated by small business owners Neha Bagga and Karan Batra. According to a release, Bagga tried yoga in the past, and while she enjoyed the physical activity and mental relaxation, she says she struggled to find somewhere welcoming to her experience level.
With that in mind, YogaSix implements more modern language instead of traditional Sanskrit to ensure anyone who practices at the studio can understand instructions.
“I have left traditional yoga classes half-way through because it was difficult to follow along and I didn’t know the names of the poses,” Bagga says in a statement. “YogaSix’s teaching methodology is supportive for beginners and great for someone more experienced who is looking to get more from their practice.”
