The Bell Helicopter Fort Worth Alliance Air Show has partnered with Fort Worth ISD for the air show’s 25th anniversary. The Bell Helicopter Fort Worth Alliance Air Show, taking place on September 12 and 13, 2015, will provide students with education and access to careers in the aviation industry.
Also, about 200 Fort Worth ISD Career and Technical Education aviation and engineering students will attend the dress rehearsal on Friday. They’ll get an up close and personal look at the various participants.
The air show, founded in 1993, has entertained thousands of people over the past 25 years and has continued to show support for the United States Air Force.
This year's air show will bring twice the excitement with dual headlining performances from the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels and, for their first tour in North America, the Breitling Jet Team. The show will also include dozens of additional aerobatic performances, in addition to the highly anticipated demonstration of the F-22 Raptor. The Air Show will also have an expanded Discovery Zone area where youth of all ages can engage in interactive exhibits and family-friendly activities.
The air show's primary beneficiary will be Carry the Load. Carry the Load is an organization that provides support and assistance to families of fallen servicemen and servicewomen as well as first responders. This local organization has become synonymous with a national movement to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day as a day of remembrance for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice.
General admission is free, but discounted parking, access to the flight deck and the captains club and other VIP areas are available for purchase.
Students, teachers, staff and their families can purchase tickets now at the air show's website. Use promo code FWISD2015 for a $5 discount! This offer is valid for online purchases only.
Gates are open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with performances beginning approximately at 10:00 a.m. and lasting until 4:00 p.m. Follow the air show on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for more information.
