Here is a list of what to do in the Fort during Father’s Day this weekend.
1. Fort Worth Zoo
The Fort Worth Zoo has a cookout planned for dads who want to take a walk on the wild side. There will also be meerkat adoptions. 6–8 p.m. Saturday
2. Music of the Eagles
It’s a classic dad move to nod your head to some classic rock, and the Botanic Garden’s Music of the Eagles might give dad a sore neck. 8:15 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Saturday
3. Bait Shop
Fishing is hit or miss, but taking dad to a fishing shop is always a hit ... and there’s a new one in town for every dad to marvel at. Located in Clearfork, Karl's Fishing & Outdoors is a new place to check out.
4. Peach Festival
If you think your dad is a peach, check out the annual Peach Festival at Martin House Brewing Co. on Sylvania Avenue. There will be a range of peach treats, and a portion of the proceeds will go to support those affected in Uvalde. Noon–5 p.m. Saturday
5. Texas Motor Speedway
Texas Motor Speedway is also getting into the Father’s Day spirit with its latest installment of the LS Fest series this weekend. If you’re a dad or have a dad and have the need for speed, or just watching things go around a track, then head to Texas Motor Speedway for some drifting, drag racing, and more. Friday and Saturday
