It’s the weekend, and here’s your guide to the Cowtown happenings you gotta check out.
1. Fort Worth Tacos & Margs Crawl
If you love tacos and margaritas (everyone should be raising their hand), the Tacos & Margs Crawl is a must-attend event. The crawl kicks off at El Chingon at noon on Saturday for those who upgraded their tix to VIP, and at 2 p.m. for the rest of you basic taco and marg fans. A wristband will give each crawler admission to all the delicious specials.

2. North Texas Fair & Rodeo
While our own superior stock show and rodeo remains five months away, travel up north a little bit to Denton and be entertained by the North Texas Fair and Rodeo. The 94th annual show runs through Saturday. There are first-class rodeos, livestock shows, family-friendly activities, and live music.

3. The Backyard Unplugged
Hotel Drover has signature summer cocktails and live music this weekend. Located in the heart of the Fort Worth Stockyards, guests and locals can escape to Mule Alley for a honkytonk time on Saturday.

4. National Geographic Symphony for Our World
The National Geographic Symphony for Our World is an intimate portrait of wildlife with an original score by Emmy and BAFTA-nominated Bleeding Fingers Music performed by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra at Bass Hall. Audiences can expect a breathtaking journey through seas and skies in a tribute to the wonders of the world throughout this weekend.

5. Texas Rangers
The Texas Rangers, the big-league baseball version, are back home at Globe Life Field in Arlington. Time is running out to see this year’s edition. Only 31 games remain, starting with Friday’s Game 1 of a three-game series with the Detroit Tigers, who are in town all weekend.
