U.S. Navy Blue Angels FA-18 Super Hornet
It's crazy to think that almost a year ago, the Bell Fort Worth Alliance Air Show went on in the middle of the pandemic, drive-in style — something new to North Texas but certainly better than seeing the cancellation of one of the city's signature events.
Almost a year later, tickets are on sale for the 31st anniversary of the show, with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels set to fly over Fort Worth Alliance Airport on Oct. 23 – 24.
Rather than a strictly drive-in format, the show will take on a "hybrid model," allowing guests to roam the grounds and purchase upgraded club seating options, as well as park and picnic at their own space.
General admission tickets allow guests to park on the east side of Alliance Airport, with one space for the vehicle and an adjoining space for picnicking. Guests can wander over to the 1.5-acre Landing Zone to partake in ground attractions like simulators, a beer garden, and kid-friendly activities. There's also an option to upgrade one's ticket for seating in the Captains' Club, sponsored by Hillwood, or the new VIP Pinnacle Club. For photographers, special tickets are available, offering space in the photo pit or tours at sunrise or sunset.
Of course, the big draw is the main show, when the U.S. Navy Blue Angels debut their F/A-18 Super Hornets. Also set to make appearances are the Air National Guard Band of the Southwest, All Veteran Parachute Team, and more.
As in previous years, proceeds from the event will be donated to various nonprofit organizations around North Texas. According to the Bell Fort Worth Alliance Air Show, the event has distributed more than $780,000 of its proceeds to more than 80 area nonprofits since 2006.
All tickets must be purchased online as no tickets will be sold onsite. More information is available at allianceairshow.com.
