Bass Performance Hall announced its 2019–2020 season of Broadway at the Bass on Wednesday — a lineup that includes classics like "Phantom of the Opera," "Hello, Dolly!" and "Miss Saigon," as well as the megahit musical "Hamilton," which will play June 9–28, 2020.
Currently the only way to get a ticket to "Hamilton" is to purchase Broadway at the Bass season tickets. According to Bass Hall, individual tickets will go on sale at a later date not yet announced.
"Hamilton," written by composer Lin Manuel-Miranda, tells the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton, set to a hip hop and R&B-inspired soundtrack. The show won the Tony Award for Best Musical in 2016.
The season also includes "Come From Away," which tells the true story of 7,000 airplane passengers who were diverted to Newfoundland following the 9/11 attacks. One of the pilots in that event, Beverley Bass (who was the first female captain for American Airlines), was a 1974 TCU graduate.
The full season and more information can be found on Bass Hall's website.
