Easter Now brings the events of Passion Week to you in real time by sending alerts to your phone on the various stages of Jesus’ trials.
Fort Worth Magazine readers,
Yesterday was Palm Sunday — the first day of Passion Week, which culminates on Easter Sunday. Whether you’re a Christian, student of history, or have a general interest in theology, there is an app called EasterNow that I would like to recommend. The app observes and guides followers through events that, regardless of your beliefs, had an undeniable effect on the world.
EasterNow brings the events of Passion Week to you in real time by sending alerts to your phone on the various stages of Jesus’ trials. From His Triumphal Entry on Palm Sunday to His betrayal in the Garden of Gethsemane to hearing the cries of “Crucify Him!” the EasterNow app reminds us of the sacrifices Jesus Christ went through.
Included with each update is background on the events of Passion Week, as well as scripture and maps providing greater clarity. The noted Old Testament passages show the fulfillment of prophecy, while New Testament sections outline the events themselves.
If you do not already have the app, click here, or it can be found directly at the Apple Store and Google Play. If you would like to learn more about the app before installing it, you can click here to watch a video. If you already have the app on your phone and are not receiving the alerts, go to your notifications in settings, click on the app, then select “Allow Notifications.”
I hope this encourages you as much as it has me.
Blessings,
Hal Brown
