The Fort Worth Music Festival is back, rolling into its third year like a well-worn vinyl spinning its greatest hits. Nestled in the beating heart of the Stockyards, this three-day sonic pilgrimage from Feb. 28 through March 2 isn’t just about music — it’s about stories, soul, and the unmistakable Texas swagger.
Picture this: four iconic venues — Tannahill’s Music Hall, Tannahill’s Lounge, White Elephant Saloon, and Love Shack — all humming with the electricity of live performances. Guitars wail, boots stomp, and lyrics cut deep, each stage offering a different shade of the Lone Star sound.
Leading the charge are two names that define the modern Texas songbook: Mike Ryan, bringing the heat on Friday night, and William Clark Green, taking the spotlight on Saturday. And because no great weekend should end without a proper sendoff, Sunday’s Bloody Mary Brunch features festival co-founder Larry Joe Taylor and the ever-soulful Davin James. Call it a Texas goodbye — long, heartfelt, and soaked in melody.
Beyond the music, the Fort Worth Music Festival and Conference is a four-day deep dive into the industry itself — offering panel discussions, keynote speakers, and networking events for artists and insiders. But what really sets this festival apart? Freedom. Unlike traditional gated festivals, a ticket here isn’t a wristband to an enclosed world; it’s an all-access pass to roam the Stockyards, soak in the culture, grab a drink, and return to the music whenever the spirit moves you.
If it feels like North Texas’ answer to South by Southwest, you’re not alone in that thought. But according to festival co-producer Tim Love — this event is all about one thing: the music. No gimmicks. No distractions. Just three days of Texas tunes, played loud and proud.
