For the third year in a row, the Fort Worth Botanic Garden is hosting an event that is sure to spark joy in the hearts of all you Clark Griswold fans out there. That’s right y’all, the third annual Lightscape holiday light extravaganza has been announced, which will include a longer trail, new illuminated installations, and revamped pricing.
Running from November 22 through January 5, this international sellout event will take over the 120-acres that make up the Botanic Garden with a new reimagined, longer trail that boasts 20+ all-new installations.
This event, produced by Sony Music, comes to life after dark with vibrant colors and holiday-centric sounds, each of which is expertly choreographed to holiday-themed music in a completely transformed magical atmosphere. This year, Fort Worth will be the only city in Texas hosting a Lightscape, so don’t miss your chance to make a lasting holiday memory.
Some of the highlights at this year’s Lightscape include an all-new Texas-themed light section complete with the Texas Flag, Texas Nutcrackers, Gingerbread Walk, Christmas Cacti, and a sundry of illuminated Bluebonnets.
Other new installations include a Fountain Show, Night Birds, Lampshade Bouquets, Floraison, and “Airquairium” Fish Sculptures. But not everything at this year’s Lightscape is new. Some returning favorites from years past have been reimagined including the Winter Cathedral, Sea of Light, and Neon Tree exhibits.
“An incredible 80 percent of installations are new or improved, making for a truly immersive and magical experience for guests of every age,” said Patrick Newman, CEO & president of the FWBG. “From the moment guests enter Lightscape, they will be whisked away into a realm of enchantment and amazement, surrounded by dazzling light installations thoughtfully integrated with our garden's beauty.”
All guests to this year’s Lightscape will enjoy fire pits, s’more-roasting, hot cocoa, holiday music, and photo opportunities with Santa Clause (on select evenings).
Another first for the Botanic Garden this year is its revamped pricing structure, including reduced regular pricing from previous years, new “Value Nights” for off-peak dates, and the option to purchase $50 “Anytime Access” tickets, which include flexible admission dates and arrival times, parking, and a dedicated check-in line.
“Every tree, plant, and path will be bathed in a harmonious blend of lights and music, creating a mesmerizing ambiance never experienced before,” Newman said. “We hope all North Texans will join us at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden this holiday season to experience Fort Worth’s favorite holiday tradition!”
