You know that old question, “Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street?” Well, for DFW residents, the answer just got a lot easier: “Sesame Street Live!” is bringing its brand-new show, “Say Hello,” to Will Rogers Auditorium on Thursday, April 10. Tickets go on sale Friday, January 17 at 10 a.m., with an exclusive presale starting Wednesday, Jan. 15.
This isn’t just another show — it’s a reunion. It’s the sound of laughter echoing through time, the kind that transports you back to simpler days. To the first time you saw Elmo’s grin, Big Bird’s giant wings, and Cookie Monster doing what he does best. It’s that deep-down joy we all remember — one that makes us laugh, sing, and believe in something magical.
The live production will feature Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and more of your old friends from Sesame Street as they embark on an unforgettable adventure. Think music, interactive fun, and the playful charm of Elmo’s puppy, Tango, who will be leading a game of hide-and-seek that’s bound to make the audience laugh like they did when they first heard that catchy theme song.
“We are overjoyed and honored to be collaborating with Sesame Workshop to bring this brand-new 'Sesame Street Live' tour to stages across the U.S. and Canada,” says Stephen Shaw, founder and co-president of Round Room Live. “We’re thrilled to combine our commitment to exciting, innovative productions with the beloved characters of Sesame Street. It’s a musical adventure we hope will create unforgettable moments for families of all ages.”
But here’s the thing about this show — it’s not just about nostalgia. It’s about stepping into a world where joy, laughter, and friendship still rule. It’s a moment that makes you feel lighter, like stepping back into your childhood shoes. And just when you think it can’t get any better, Elmo and his puppy Tango will show you how magic is still alive in the simplest of moments. This show is more than a chance to relive the past — it’s an invitation to believe in the joy and wonder of right now.
Whit Higgins, executive vice president and head of Global Enterprises for Sesame Workshop, summed up the magic behind it all: “For over 50 years, Sesame Workshop has worked at the intersection of education, media, and research, creating joyful experiences that enrich minds and expand hearts.”
