Last Monday we hosted the most fab LemonAid event off the dock of our lake house. The boys worked really hard (I worked harder) to raise money for the Texas and Oklahoma tornado victims. Winn and Reed made $86 in 4 hours, and we matched it for a total of $172.
Hosting a lemonade stand like a seated dinner party is not for the faint of heart! In fact, I think I'm over selling lemonade for quite awhile.
Don't even attempt to bake your own cookies...you will not have the time. I actually thought about it, and after spending 3 hours slicing 8 kinds of fruits, I had turned into a pumpkin. Instead we grabbed several different cookies from Target. PERFECTION!!!! And I'm pretty sure they tasted (I didn't eat one) better than something I would have baked!
A floral centerpiece is essential for every pimped out lemonade stand...and don't forget about the holiday-themed jewelry for everyone to enjoy
We had 3 beverages for guests to choose from. Tang with sliced oranges (not pictured below), Country Time Lemonade with lemons and limes, and fresh fruit water with pineapple, kiwi and cucumbers! We also served sliced oranges and chilled watermelon, popsicles, and cupcakes. We tied all this together with red and blue napkins, festive straws and paper cocktail umbrellas! It was a hit!
So there you have it. Don't think about asking me to help you with your lemonade stand cause I'm in official lemonade stand retirement. Have a wonderful week!
