Jewel Charity's celebration of its 60th anniversary year began with a spectacular evening of “Diamonds in the Sky” at the Museum of Science and History on April 10. With the specialty drink Diamond Dazzle in hand, guests could marvel at the Planetarium show, enjoy the music provided by DJ Randal Stout, and welcome Jewel Charity's newest members. For 60 years, Jewel Charity has supported Cook Children's Medical Center with The Strength of a Diamond, The Heart of an Angel, donating gifts totaling over $58,000,000. Jewel Charity will celebrate its Diamond Jubilee anniversary all year, culminating with the Diamond Jubilee Ball on Dec. 14, 2013.
