If you’ve ever watched Chris Stapleton take the stage in a well-worn pair of cowboy boots and a crisp western shirt, you’ve already glimpsed his unique fashion sense. For the past several years, Stapleton has quietly cultivated a deep appreciation for Lucchese — the Texas-based bootmaker. Now, the partnership between the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and the iconic brand has officially entered its next chapter with “Lucchese x Chris Stapleton: Volume II,” a collection that feels as much like a personal statement as it does a fashion collaboration.
The collection, which launched this month, expands the debut line from 2023 with new colorways, exotic leathers, and, for the first time, a collaborative apparel piece, according to a release.
Stapleton, who has long been a collector of Lucchese’s vintage boots, was involved in every step of the design process. The result is a lineup of boots and a western-inspired shirt that marry Stapleton’s unpretentious style with Lucchese’s 142-year legacy of meticulous craftsmanship.
Volume II features six handmade boot styles, including The Original Exotic, Old Friend, and San Antonio. The Original Exotic pulls from Lucchese’s archives and comes in American Alligator and Royal Calf leathers, offered in Anthracite Grey and Cognac. Old Friend nods to Stapleton’s songwriting heroes with a 12-inch quarter, French toe, and two new colorways — Chocolate and Grey. San Antonio, inspired by Lucchese’s original factory, is crafted in high-gloss Santini goat leather with Seville cording, Mule-Ear pull straps, and a French toe, available in Black Cherry and Tan.
Rounding out the collection is the Lucchese x Chris Stapleton Classic Fit Shirt, offered in black and denim. A pearl snap with a western yoke and dual chest pockets, the shirt draws inspiration from Stapleton’s on-stage uniform and the cover of his debut album Traveller.
Beyond boots and shirts, the collaboration has a philanthropic angle: a portion of the proceeds benefits Stapleton’s charity, Outlaw State of Kind. It’s a reminder that for both artist and bootmaker, this partnership isn’t just about style — it’s about storytelling, legacy, and giving back.
Fans can shop the collection at select Lucchese retail locations and online at Lucchese.com.
From handcrafted boots to a carefully curated wardrobe, the collaboration between Stapleton and Lucchese is more than a line of merchandise; it’s a celebration of Texas culture, music, and heritage, stitched together one pair of boots at a time.
“After our inaugural collection with Chris quickly sold out, it is a true honor to partner with him again,” said Doug Kindy, president of Lucchese Bootmaker. “Chris is family to us, and his passion for authenticity and Western tradition shines through in every step. Together, we’ve designed pieces that symbolize self-expression and the timeless connection between culture and tradition.”
