Drake made headlines over the weekend for his 35th birthday party celebration in Los Angeles — just the usual, A-list shindig complete with famous friends, suggestive party décor, and high-end fashion you'd expect from a rap superstar.
But little did one Crowley-based boot company realize the four-time Grammy Award winner was giving them a little free publicity, too.
Since the party's apparent theme was the hit Netflix show, "Narcos," Drake donned a cowboy-inspired getup that included a hat, fringe jacket, denim ensemble — and footwear by R. Watson Boots.
According to a Facebook post, company owner Randy Watson (former CEO of Justin Boots) got a call from one of R. Watson's retailers, Country General Store in L.A., saying, "I sold Drake a boot of yours Saturday." Lo and behold, a Drake fan account on Instagram, @styleofdrake, posted a series of photos deconstructing the singer's full birthday look, listing R. Watson's Antique Saddle Full Quill Ostrich boots with a Royal Blue Goat Top (Style No. RW4513-1), worth over $400.
Here's a video of Drake showing off his full 'fit.
