Franklin Moss and Matthew Miller bond over a lot of things. Espresso. Art. Good food. And style — Moss is the co-owner of custom suit maker Franklin & Anthony, while Miller is a menswear artist better known by his professional name, Sunflowerman.
The two met via Instagram about a year ago when Miller was new to Fort Worth and on the lookout for like-minded locals with whom he could connect. An Instagram DM and several coffee dates later, Moss and Miller have turned their bromance into a business collaboration, creating a jacket series made with a lining featuring Miller’s illustrations. Clients can either choose from a selection of finished sketches or work with Miller to create a custom design.
”When good people come together, it’s natural,” Moss says. “It just makes sense ... we both believe in art and fashion.”
So far, they’ve enjoyed their first few months of doing business together — although “jury’s still out,” Miller says with a laugh. “I think we get along as people. We just started working together, so we could be bitter enemies later.”
