Mayor Betsy Price and Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson are both hosting citywide ovations for frontline workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic.
As those all around the world continue their retreat into isolation, it’s important to remember we’re separated together. And Mayor Betsy Price and Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson are both hosting citywide ovations for frontline workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic.
At 7 p.m. tonight, residents are encouraged to step outside for five minutes of applause and cheer to thank those who continue to heal the afflicted and protect the masses.
Mayor Price will also be lighting the City of Fort Worth blue Thursday night in a show of gratitude for first responders and healthcare workers.
“Downtown buildings and bridges will be illuminated in blue lights as a visual way to unite behind frontline workers,” a release from the City of Fort Worth reads. “Businesses are encouraged to illuminate their building with blue lights.
Price, with Fort Worth Fire Chief Jim Davis, Police Chief Chief Ed Kraus, and City Manager David Cooke, will be paying Fort Worth hospitals a visit for the ovation.
