New Leon Bridges Song Features Summer Moon Coffee
Fort Worth is being represented twice by the city’s own Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter, Leon Bridges, in his new song “Summer Moon,” released last Friday.
Leon Bridges and Kevin Kaarl's song depicts the isolation experienced during the pandemic. The main chorus feeds through the words, ‘Summer Moon … in June,’ which is the perfect time to release the song. The song was written during the shutdown of the pandemic, centering around a coffee shop, the Summer Moon, one of the few places available for human interaction and connection.
“The song was inspired by this coffee shop called Summer Moon near my home,” said Bridges. “It’s about searching for a connection with someone despite the fear of living during that time.”
