(From the Left) Joel Murray, Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, and Jeff B. Davis are ready for your improv suggestions.
You walk into a comedy show, expecting the usual: a few jokes, maybe some funny stories, and a punchline that ties it all together. But "Whose Live Anyway?" doesn’t work like that—this show is jazz. It’s a rocket launch without a flight plan. It’s the moment when four improv masters take the mic, rip up the rulebook, and turn your wildest suggestions into something so funny you’ll wonder if you dreamed it up.
Ryan Stiles and Greg Proops, two towering pillars from the widely popular TV show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”, are joined by the unstoppable Jeff B. Davis and the effortlessly cool Joel Murray (yes, that Murray family). Together, they’re not just telling jokes — they’re tightrope-walking through scenes that didn’t exist seconds before, riffing off each other like a rock band where every player gets a solo.
Stiles, whose iconic roles on “The Drew Carey Show” and “Two and a Half Men” only scratch the surface of his talent, delivers his brand of sharp-as-a-knife physical comedy. Proops, the quicksilver wit whose voice you’ve heard everywhere from “The Nightmare Before Christmas” to “Star Wars”, dazzles with rapid-fire brilliance.
And then there’s Davis — famous for impressions that make you double-take — and Murray, whose legendary TV and film resume, which includes “Mad Men,” “Shameless,” and “Scrooged” gives the team a veteran’s gravitas.
But here’s the thing: “Whose Live Anyway?” is no ordinary comedy show. It’s a 90-minute masterclass in creating something from nothing. The team takes games that fans of “Whose Line?” know and love, supercharges them with new twists, and invites the audience — yes, you — to help steer the ship. You’ll shout out ridiculous ideas, and they’ll take it from there, transforming the absurd into the sublime. Watching them work isn’t just funny; it’s mesmerizing. It’s creativity unleashed, teamwork at full throttle, and comedy at its most raw and alive.
And it’s all done with no safety net. No scripts, no second takes — just instinct, trust, and comedic chemistry honed over years on the road. List of next year’s full tour.
So what happens when four improv titans walk into a theater with nothing but a blank slate and a willingness to play? The short answer: everything. The long answer: scenes, songs, and moments so unexpectedly brilliant you’ll swear they were planned. (Spoiler: they weren’t.)
