
A delightful sauce on sliced turkey, this cinnamon-spiced chutney is also delicious as a spread for turkey sandwiches the day after the big feast.
2 cups apple juice
1/3 cup sugar
1 – 2 tablespoons minced or grated fresh ginger
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground coriander
½ cup dried cranberries
¼ cup golden raisins
¼ cup red raisins
½ cup dried cherries
½ cup dried pears, coarsely chopped
2 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
1. In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, combine apple juice, sugar, ginger, cinnamon, coriander, cranberries, golden and red raisins, cherries, pears, and apples. Simmer mixture 20 – 30 minutes, uncovered, until fruit is transparent and jewel-toned.
2. Cover and refrigerate up to 1 week.
