Ritas & Queso has a growing following among Dallasites, generating buzz for its half-gallon margarita jug and chips and queso delivery.
On Fridays, Fort Worthians have the chance to give it a try.
Through a new partnership with rideshare service Alto, Ritas & Queso is offering Tex-Mex delivery to Fort Worth residents on Fridays only.
Ritas & Queso emerged as a pop-up during the pandemic but has since evolved into a more permanent eatery.
Business partners Glen Collins and Julian Barsotti — concept chef at Dallas eateries Nonna, Sprezza, Fachini, and Carbone’s — created Ritas & Queso to help out restaurant workers affected by COVID-19.
“The saying, 'Out of adversity comes opportunity' is exactly right – except this opportunity comes on the rocks and is served with a lime,” Collins said in a statement.
The menu, built for delivery and pick-up, includes a $55 standard kit and a $75 family kit. In the standard package, customers will get a half-gallon Jug-O-Ritas frozen or on the rocks, 16 ounces of queso, 8 ounces of salsa, and chips. The family option, which feeds five to six people, includes everything in the standard kit, plus enchiladas made with brisket and chile con carne on corn tortillas.
Ritas & Queso will update the family kit every two weeks to give Fort Worth customers greater variety.
Orders can be placed Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. online or 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. over the phone (214-521-7193). The delivery window on Fridays is from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
