Fort Worth, TX---Chef Ben Merritt will soon open Fixture - Kitchen and Social Lounge, a new restaurant and social hangout in the heart of the Near Southside. Sure to become a “fixture” in a neighborhood known for it's relaxed ambiance, Chef Merritt has created an eclectic, fresh twist on comfort food. Fixture boasts home grown herbs, tomatoes, and citrus trees that brighten up the generous outdoor patio seating area. Inside the space that formerly housed 24 Plates, diners can enjoy a large community table in the bar area made from live edge wood from a Magnolia tree. The restaurant will also serve as a gallery, showing and selling the art of Erika Krivda (www.literallyerika.com). Opening for Fixture is tentatively planned for mid-April to early May.
Chef Merritt is the former executive sous chef of Tim Love's Woodshed. He also worked with well-known Dallas chef Stephan Pyles. His experience with these master chefs has prepared him to create a fresh, culinary experience. Menus for lunch, dinner and brunch include his signature chicken and waffles, Brie and cranberry nachos, duck tacos, roasted goat hash, and many more tasty offerings. Coupled with a full bar serving craft cocktails and Texas craft beer, diners are ensured a culinary adventure and a very social good time.
