A Los Angeles-based filmmaker is showcasing the Fort Worth food scene in his upcoming documentary, and he's looking for locals to feature on camera.
Producer Scott Browning will film part of his TV pilot, “A Night of Artists and Chefs,” at Magdalena's from April 19-29. Guests are invited to participate, tasting a menu created by local chefs Jenna Kinard, formerly of MAX's Wine Dive, and Juan Rodriguez of Magdalena's, while taking in art by local artists Aimee Cardoso and Erika Duque. Participants will get to vote on food and art, as well as take part in interviews for the documentary.
The menu features four courses: appetizers, a fish course, entrees and desserts. Dishes include a Spiced Maple Glazed Quail Confit with Roasted Corn Risotto, Citrus and Thyme Alaskan Halibut, and Pistachio and Burnt Honey Creme Brûlée.
“A Night of Artists and Chefs” explores the food and art scene in Fort Worth and features interviews with local food and art experts, restaurant and gallery owners, and artists and chefs, including Kinard and Rodriguez. After the pilot is filmed, the hour-long episode will be shopped to TV networks for airing.
Ticket information for the filming event can be found here.
