Iron out those dirndls and lederhosen, Fort Worthians.
Tickets are on sale now for Oktoberfest Fort Worth, featuring three days straight of Munich-style mania Sept. 26 to 28 at Panther Island Pavilion. Ordering an online ticket early gets you a free 2019 commemorative Oktoberfest stein.
Fest-goers will be able to jam out to all kinds of German music, including the stylings of nationally acclaimed polka performer Alex Meixner, as well as Alpenmusikaten, Walburg Boys, Alpine Village Band, Das Ist Lustig, and Auf Geht’s.
Spaten will be served alongside various other craft beers from around the country. That way, you can fill your stein up to wash down German food like bratwursts, pretzels, strudel, schnitzel, and German potato pancakes. The refreshments will be made available inside an air-conditioned Spaten Hall, as well as within several outdoor, tented biergartens. Traditional German clothing and other accessories will be available to buy for those who want to look extra modisch.
Festival tickets range from $5 to $15, and kids under 12 get in free. Funds benefit the Trinity River Vision Authority. They’re available for purchase online through Sept. 25 at Oktoberfestfw.com.
