There’s a sugary lining for all you TCU fans disappointed with the outcome from last Saturday's iron skillet showdown. Just announced in honor of TCU’s current football season is a new limited-edition dessert inspired by the color that makes TCU swoon – purple.
JARS, a chef Fabio Viviani concept, is offering all you Horned Frogs a sweet treat in the form of the new Froggy Bliss jar, designed to be the ultimate game day indulgence. Made with decadent banana blueberry cheesecake, the Froggy Bliss features custard, sponge cake, fresh blueberries, and graham crackers served with a rich buttercream in a jar. This dessert is also topped with a little white and purple chocolate frog, which pays homage to TCU’s iconic colors.
So where can TCU fans and foodies find this sweet purple confection? Locals can get their hands on a Froggy Bliss during the TCU football season at the JARS at 3000 S Hulen Street, Suite 150, which is the only locale in the JARS franchise serving up this highly sweet and localized treat.
The concept and the menu of JARS was created by Viviani to be a family friendly dessert experience like no other. Viviani set out to create a treat that combines nostalgically classic flavor combinations with an aesthetically pleasing presentation. This means, JARS features an elaborate assortment of classic desserts from around the world in a single-serve JAR, hence the name.
The company website states,“At JARS, we think outside the little box. And refuse to conform to a space filled with cookies, cupcakes, and copycats. We’ve forced dessert outside of its comfort zone with an insanely adventurous twist on traditional treats from around the world. And because we know you can’t bottle adventure, we put it in JARS.”
Each JARS location offers classic flavors like the Banana Cream Pie served with banana custard, vanilla sweet cream, sponge cake, Nilla wafers, and powdered sugar. Or get a slushy Refresher like JARS’ Blue Raspberry Lemonade made with the sweet taste of raspberries mixed in with the zesty kick of lemonade. JARS also has Soft Serve options like the Fruity Pebbles made with vanilla cake, Fruity PEBBLES cereal, and milk ice cream, drizzled in Fruity PEBBLES cereal on top. But that’s not all.
JARS also offers limited month-long flavors like the aforementioned Froggy Bliss or the Triple Chocolate Nutella made with chocolate custard, chocolate cake, Nutella buttercream icing, white chocolate sauce, white chocolate, and a milk chocolate rim.
