Fort Worth chef Jenna Kinard leads the kitchen at Jellico's, the signature restaurant inside the Westin Southlake Hotel.
The Westin Southlake Hotel's signature restaurant — headed by Fort Worth's own Jenna Kinard — has an opening date and a new name.
Jellico's (formerly named Seasons 114) will open Nov. 17 on the first floor of the hotel, located at 1200 E. State Highway 114. With Kinard serving as executive chef, the restaurant will serve a seasonally driven menu of Southern-inspired breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner offerings at its 2,100-square-foot space and 1,500-square-foot patio.
The new name derives from Jellico, one of Southlake's initial settlements during the late 1800s through the early 1900s. According to the hotel, "this name ties in with the restaurant’s location as well as the classic American dishes with deep roots in the South but with a modern flair."
The menu takes inspiration from Kinard's late grandmother, Josephine, who has a burger named after her, made with chuck, brisket, and pork belly; sharp cheddar; bacon onion jam; black garlic aioli; marinated tomato; and bibb lettuce. Other highlights include shareables like chili garlic chicken wings and tuna crudo, and entrées like butternut squash ravioli, shrimp and grits, and a fried chicken sandwich made with chili mayo and a sesame lime slaw. The weekend brunch menu lists blueberry cobbler pancakes, fried chicken and doughnuts, and a Texas Benny featuring a buttermilk cornbread biscuit, honey butter, fried chicken, farm eggs, sriracha hollandaise, and breakfast potatoes.
Coconut panna cotta, a s'mores pop tart, and fall berry cobbler round out the dessert menu.
“We hope our guests feel a sense of comfort and familiarity when they dine with us from the recipes we have thoughtfully created over the past year to the warm and welcoming design of the restaurant to our Southern hospitality," Kinard said in a statement. "Jellico’s is more than just a dining experience; it’s a place to make new memories with friends and family.”
Next to Jellico's will be a 1,000-square-foot, lounge-style bar, The Curve, which will serve seasonal and classic cocktails, wine, and local beer. Patrons can expect signature drinks like the Billionaire Sour, made with Texas Silver Star Whiskey, and the Texas Fashioned, featuring Oak & Eden's 4 Grain & Spire, along with wines sourced everywhere from the Western region of the U.S. to New Zealand, France, and Italy.
It's all part of the 261-room Westin Southlake, which also includes 34,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor events and meeting space, a resort-style pool, and club level fitness facility among other amenities.
