
Stir Crazy Baked Goods may have left its Daggett Avenue location, but that didn't stop sweet treats from moving back in.
Loft22 Cakes opened at the space over the weekend. Pastry chef Tareka Lofton says the move is ironic because she used to work at Stir Crazy and treated the shop like her own. Stir Crazy still has a second location at 1251 W. Magnolia Ave.
Lofton, a graduate of Dallas Culinary school Le Cordon Bleu, started Loft22 Cakes in 2013. The bakery specializes in couture cakes, cupcakes, pastries, cookies and other sweets.
“I want to continue serving delicious beautiful cakes in Fort Worth,” Lofton said. “We'll see what happens, but for now we enjoy being a small, boutique-y shop, and we're having a lot of fun.”
