There are moments in life that demand reverence. A first concert. A late-night road trip with the windows down. That first electric bite of something so perfect it stops time. This February, MELT Ice Creams is serving up one of those moments with Chocolate Week — a fleeting, one-week-only ode to chocolate in all its rich, indulgent glory.
Starting Monday, Feb. 10, until the last scoop vanishes, MELT will be spinning out three limited-edition flavors designed to take you somewhere. Somewhere deep. Somewhere nostalgic. Somewhere surprising. This isn’t just ice cream. It’s the kind of chocolate-laden joy that lingers long after the spoon hits the empty cup.
"We love creating moments of joy through ice cream," says MELT founder Kari Crowe-Seher. “These flavors bring a little something for everyone — whether you love deep, dark chocolate, crave nostalgic cake flavors or want a bright twist on white chocolate.”
The Flavors—A Symphony of Chocolate Dreams
Dark Chocolate Hazelnut & Raspberry Swirl (PL) – This is the slow jam of the lineup. Deep, velvety dark chocolate hazelnut ice cream, shot through with a tart, soulful raspberry swirl. The hazelnut brittle crunch? That’s the bassline that keeps it all grooving. (Plant-based, gluten-free, egg-free)
Brooklyn Blackout Cake – This one is pure rock & roll. A nod to the Brooklyn bakeries that made blackout cake legendary, this flavor layers black onyx dark chocolate ice cream with housemade chunks of blackout cake and crisp bites of chocolate pearls. Every bite is a full-throttle encore. (Nut-free)
Passion Fruit – The wild card. A white chocolate ice cream infused with tangy passion fruit, punctuated by a milk chocolate crunch and swirls of passion fruit caramel. It’s bright, it’s unexpected, it’s the neon sign at the edge of town calling you in. (Nut-free, egg-free)
Chocolate Week is the kind of gig that sells out fast. Once these flavors are gone, they’re gone — no B-sides, no hidden tracks. You’ll find them at all MELT Ice Creams locations, but don’t wait too long. Some things in life are meant to be chased.
