Melt Ice Creams Opens Downtown With a New Flavor

A beloved Fort Worth brand marks a big milestone with a new location, sweet surprises, and plenty of reasons to celebrate.

MELT Ice Creams, the Fort Worth-born brand known for its bold yellow palette and small-batch creativity, has officially opened a new scoop shop in downtown Fort Worth. Located at 700 Main Street, this marks the company’s fifth location — and perhaps its most iconic yet, planted right in the heart of the city it calls home.

To celebrate, MELT is hosting a grand opening party this Saturday, April 19, from 12 to 5 p.m. The first 50 guests will receive a special giveaway, and the event will showcase the company’s newest flavor: yellow birthday cake, in honor of MELT’s 11th anniversary. The limited-edition flavor comes packed with real, generous chunks of cake and captures the spirit of celebration that has defined the brand since 2014.

The shop’s design is consistent with MELT’s established aesthetic—bright, modern, and joy-filled, with large front windows inviting in natural light and passersby alike. Inside, the atmosphere is lively and approachable, with a staff ready to serve scoops that are both indulgent and inclusive.

Among the shop’s newest offerings are naturally dyed sprinkles, which now adorn their signature chocolate-dipped cones. These sprinkles, free from artificial coloring, underscore MELT’s commitment to clean ingredients and thoughtful sourcing. The shop continues to cater to a wide range of dietary needs, with clearly marked vegan and gluten-free flavors available daily.

The downtown location is open seven days a week, welcoming guests for post-lunch cravings, weekend outings, or a quick afternoon pick-me-up. It’s a sweet addition to the city’s walkable core and a milestone moment for a brand that has grown with Fort Worth over the last decade.
