There's a new chicken joint coming to town this month, and it's no stranger to the state of Texas.
Dallas-based chicken and frozen custard chain Super Chix will celebrate the grand opening of its first Fort Worth location at 1217 Eighth Ave. on Feb. 16 and plans to launch a week’s worth of giveaways, including complimentary meals for the first 50 customers at the door.
“Our simple, no-fuss chicken will be a terrific addition to the vibrant Near Southside neighborhood,” Super Chix Founder and CEO Nick Ouimet said in a statement. “We're continuing to see our fanbase grow with chicken-centric and custard lovers as we spread our wings across the Metroplex.”
Super Chix is known for, as its name implies, its chicken, marinated daily and hand breaded then cooked in 100 percent refined peanut oil without MSG, HFCS or phosphates.
The menu also includes a variety of breaded and grilled sandwiches, seasoned hand-cut fries and Milwaukee-inspired fresh frozen custard. The Crispy Avocado, an avocado stuffed with Gouda cheese and topped with garlic aioli, lettuce and tomato, is a popular vegetarian option.
The fast-casual restaurant will have a soft opening on Feb. 10 and 11, with all of the proceeds going to Historic Southside, Inc.
Super Chix operates four other restaurants in Dallas, Richardson and Frisco.
