Roscoe's Coffee House
Roscoe's Coffee House is owned by Alan Spicer, who, fascinated by the complexities of coffee, started roasting coffee in his garage back in 2010 on a small Gene Cafe home roaster.
The craft coffee scene in North Texas has been expanding with dozens of new caff fixes, and the mug is overflowing into the mid-cities.
Keller now boasts Roscoe’s Coffee House at 841 N. Tarrant Parkway, an expansion of Chico-based sister company LoneStar Roasters. Roscoe's takes advantage of the former space of Brew'n Blues Coffee.
Roscoe’s is owned by Alan Spicer, who, fascinated by the complexities of coffee, started roasting coffee in his garage back in 2010 on a small Gene Cafe home roaster. Production was limited, he said, but friends and coworkers soon wanted to purchase his coffee.
“After the initial success of LoneStar Roasters, we started looking for a retail location in the North Fort Worth area,” Spicer says. “After living in the area for several years, the city of Keller became our logical choice, with the business-friendly attitude and “Keep it Keller” motto, we felt that it was the right location to start our retail location.
“The support of the local community and city officials has been top notch and we could not have made a better choice.”
The companies purvey a wide array of global blends, including African, Asian, Central and South American coffees. Those are alongside proprietary blends too, like Roscoe’s Coffee House Blend, Grandma Maxine’s Double Down Dark, and Texas Twister Cold Brew Blend.
Pair your coffee with in-house baked bagels, croissants, muffins, and donuts, or opt for what Spicer calls “the best cold brew anywhere,” steeped for 24 hours in a unique cold brew system.
Future plans include in-store coffee classes. Roscoe’s also features a section dedicated to vendors from the local farmers market, where whole bean coffee and in-house made single-serve pods may be purchased.
