A new slider bar that boasts menu items like a PB&J Slider, and the Frikka Tikka made with fried chicken and topped with paneer cheese and spicy tikka sauce, is prepping to open in Alliance this fall. The uniquely named Son of A Butcher slider concept, which will feature both indoor and outdoor dining spaces, is set to open at 9649 Sage Meadow Trail in early fall, according to a release.
Known affectionately as SoB, this chef-inspired concept prides itself on creating classic burgers with a twist, like the aforementioned PB&J Slider. Each menu item is made fresh to order and the burgers themselves are made with 100 % Wagyu beef. Other menu options include chicken and veggie sliders, chicken tenders, filthy sodas, creamy shakes, and crispy fries. SoB also offers biweekly Butcher Specials, including sliders and shakes inspired by global flavors and seasonal ingredients.
This new 2,388 square foot locale will offer patrons a covered patio, complete with turf grass, fans, and picnic tables. Inside, SoB boasts a nostalgic vibe that features large windows and vibrant colors. For all of you on the go, SoB will also feature a pick-up window for to-go orders.
“SoB is all about pushing boundaries,” said Tim Timbs, president of Son of a Butcher. “We take a classic burger and add unexpected combinations to challenge flavor norms. SoB is perfect for the adventurous foodie and those with more classic tastes – we look forward to bringing the Alliance community a new spot the whole family will enjoy.”
Other unique fare on the SoB menu includes boozy beverages, swanky shakes, and standout sides like Loaded Brisket Fries, and Thai Chili Brussels Sprouts. Have a large party that needs fed? SoB also offers great catering options with slider sleeves and offsite catering options that include plenty of food for any get together.
This announcement also comes with plans to hire 30-40 new team members in the coming weeks to fill various positions. The Alliance locale marks the fourth SoB in the Lone Star State, joining other standalone spots in Grapevine, Lower Greenville, and SoB’s flagship stall at the Legacy Food Hall in Plano.
“I’m looking forward to becoming part of this great community,” said Jens Pederson, general manager of the new Son of a Butcher. “With amazing food and a fantastic patio, SoB will be a fun spot to hang out any day of the week. We also offer a great culture and a fun place to work.”
