The Near Southside's newest natural wine bar is now pouring.
The Holly Natural Wine Bar + Shop officially opened this week at 305 W. Daggett Ave., offering wine by the glass; tasting flights; small bites like cheese plates, locally made bread, and other snacks; as well as wine by the bottle.
As implied, the shop specializes in organic wines, highlighting small-batch makers like Controvento, Populis, Outward, and others from around the globe; about 50 of those brands are on The Holly's roster, with 20 currently stocked on the shelves. Patrons can find classic reds, whites, and sparkling wines, as well as a few they've perhaps never tried before — like orange wines and pét-nats.

The numbers written on the bottles are each wine's respective prices. Small cards on the shelves also have information about the wines and their makers.
Living just upstairs is owner Elizabeth Mears, who owns the newly built property. The Holly takes up about 1,100 square feet on the ground floor, and in a similarly sized space next door, ceramic studio Kendall Davis Clay expects to open on Shop Small Saturday, Nov. 27.
Both The Holly and Kendall Davis Clay will also participate in a holiday event, Merry on Main & Magnolia, on Dec. 11, with The Holly hosting a pop-up by small-batch clothing line Soft Animal.
The Holly is open Wednesday through Saturday ,1 p.m. – 9 p.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
