A new bar is moving into the former V.I.P. Lounge space on White Settlement Road.
The Rabbit Hole Pub — a sister location to The Mad Hatter Neighborhood Pub in the West Seventh Street corridor — is expected to open at 3237 White Settlement Road in July. According to the pub, this will be the location’s first change in business in more than 20 years.
Run by proprietors Chris Jordan, Kristin Thomas, Bailey Batts, Deandre Young, and Jywon Young, The Rabbit Hole will feature a completely renovated space, with an 1,800-square-foot patio, garage doors, and seating both indoors and outdoors. The 2,000-square-foot space also promises to be dog-friendly, with a variety of spirits and beer for human patrons.
“It’s a labor of love,” the proprietors wrote on Facebook. “Our blood, sweat, and tears are going into getting this place ready, and we can’t wait to open the doors and welcome everyone in.”
Atypical of most bars will be The Rabbit Hole's operating hours — for nightshift workers looking to unwind after getting off early in the morning, the pub plans to open at 7 a.m. Monday through Friday.
The Rabbit Hole will also be philanthropy-minded, with plans to host charity events regularly. The soft opening event will benefit Crohn's & Colitis Foundations North Texas/Oklahoma Chapter; more information about this event and others will be announced at a later date.
