At Gemelle, one of many Fort Worth restaurants by celebrity chef Tim Love, the magic of gathering around great food just got even more enchanting. With a newly revamped menu that mixes the comfort of Italian classics with a touch of bold creativity, Love has elevated this family-friendly favorite into something innovative and new. Think fresh breakfast offerings, an expanded cocktail program, and a vibrant new kids menu — all set against the restaurant’s charming garden backdrop.
Love kicks things off with a spuntino section — a nod to Italy’s beloved tradition of small bites meant for sharing. These aren’t your average snacks, though. Think polenta-fried sausage-stuffed olives that pop with flavor, jalapeño pesto croutons that bring the perfect zing, and pickled okra that feels like a Texas-Italian love story on a plate.
The menu expands from there, diving into bold antipasti, inventive pasta, and the debut of a frutti di mare category that transports diners straight to the Mediterranean coast.
Standouts?
The white bean pesto ravioli with rabbit-rattlesnake sausage pays homage to Love’s Rattle Battle competition, while the grilled Chianina skirt steak offers smoky flavors, and the seared halibut in charred escarole broth with salami feels both elegant and comforting.
Love’s team has also introduced new dishes like Gulf Shrimp with spicy fra diavolo over creamy polenta, Lamb Shank with potatoes-swiss chard gratin, and Hand-Chopped Steak with skinny fries. The salads are also next-level, from the citrusy snap of shaved fennel to the satisfying crunch of blistered leeks with honey and pine nuts.
Morning diners, rejoice: breakfast at Gemelle is a celebration of Mediterranean flavors. It’s where house-made focaccia cradles perfectly poached eggs and prosciutto to create an indulgent Eggs Benedict. It’s also where hearty plates like Chianina skirt steak with fried eggs meet light, fresh favorites like avocado toast with lemon yogurt and crispy salami. And if you’re keeping it simple? A soft-boiled egg paired with Italian bread and house-made jam is just the ticket.
But, here’s where Gemelle really shines as a family-friendly gem: the all-new kids menu. Love didn’t phone it in for the young ones. Instead, he created dishes with the same thoughtfulness as the main menu. House-made pasta with rich Parmigiano-Reggiano? Check. Hand-stretched pizzas with fresh toppings? You bet. Organic chicken strips fried to golden perfection? Absolutely.
It’s the kind of menu that makes you wish you were eight years old again — but luckily, the main offerings are just as tempting for the grown-ups.
As if the food wasn’t enough, the cocktail program also got its very own makeover. New additions like the Limoncello Spritz and the intriguingly named Tainted Love bring a playful energy to Gemelle’s already-vibrant vibe. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, soaking in live music on the entertainment stage, or toasting under the garden’s twinkling lights, there’s a drink here with your name on it.
Love sums it up best: “We want Gemelle to feel like your neighborhood spot where everyone leaves happy — no matter the occasion.”
