There’s extra motivation this week through Sunday for those who may have balked at the thought of ordering something plant-based at a local restaurant.
Monday marks the start of Fort Worth’s first Blue Zones Restaurant week, wherein dozens of eateries promote plant-based menu items at special prices and discounts. From veggie curries, grain bowls, and soups, entrees incorporating plant-based, non-processed ingredients have the spotlight for seven days.
“Blue Zones Project, Fort Worth is led by Texas Health Resources and teams with schools, businesses, community leaders, and residents to support longer, better lives,” a news release reads. Fort Worth, the nation’s largest Blue Zones Community, has more than 90,000 people and more than 340 groups coordinating to promote wellness.
Here’s a list of participating Fort Worth restaurants and cafes:
- Black Cat Pizza
- Boulevard of Greens
- Branch & Bird
- Buffalo West
