Free Rein Coffee Co.
Although he was sued by “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan over his Free Rein coffee logo in December,
actor Cole Hauser hasn’t let that slow him down when it comes to its promotion. In fact, Hauser, who portrays Rip Wheeler on the Paramount Network drama, entered into an agreement with HTeaO in January, which places his coffee brand at 100 of the North Texas-based beverage business’ locales.
As of the 17th of September, Hauser will be making a stop in Fort Worth to kick start Free Rein’s Road to Yellowstone RV Tour, which offers attendees samples of his coffee brand at select Walmart stores that stretch between Texas to Montana. Hauser will be at the Walmart at 3851 Airport Freeway on the 17th at sunrise to greet attendees and sign coffee bags for the first 50 guests. Yeah, so get there soon.
Besides Hauser’s appearance, Free Rein will be serving coffee onsite along with several other fun activities, photo moments, and several surprises. In July, Hauser also hitched his name to another beverage brand titled the Lazy K Bar Whiskey.
But Hauser's name didn’t become prominent because of his products. Outside of “Yellowstone,” which made Rip Wheeler a household name, Hauser has also appeared in film classics such as “School Ties,” and “Dazed and Confused.” He’s also appeared in Joel Shumacher's “Tigerland,” “White Oleander,” “Tears of the Sun,” and 2 Fast 2 Furious, to name a few.
Hauser also sits on the board of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and has dedicated the past 20 years of his life to supporting Veteran causes.
In October of 2022, Hauser along with some of his friends purchased a West Texas-based coffee roastery and re-branded it the Free Rein Coffee Company with a mission of “Serving those who serve,” not just their country but community as well.
Since December of 2023, Hauser and Sheridan have settled their branding issue out of court, thus continuing their professional relationship on screen. Hauser will appear along with most of the original “Yellowstone” cast, minus Kevin Costner, on November 10 for the second half of season 5 of this western drama on the Paramount Network.
“As a nation built on dreams and aspirations, we want to inspire the go-getters, the dreamers, and the believers to fuel their pursuits,” Hauser said in a release. “Just as the American Dream knows no boundaries, we aim to exceed expectations and create a legacy of our own — one that is deeply connected to our roots and the core values that shaped us. I am so excited for everyone to finally have their hands on this coffee!”
