Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation’s 7th Annual Bring the Conversation to Light Event
The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation envisions a world where suicide is never the choice.

The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation envisions a world where suicide is never the choice. We provide suicide prevention training and education for children and adults, as well as depression research funding, impacting Tarrant County and beyond. Your support is a light in the darkness of depression, suicide and the stigma these topics bring. With your help, we’ll blaze a trail toward erasing that stigma, empowering our community and saving lives.
Our programming reaches thousands of people in the DFW-area. Over 189 QPR suicide prevention trainings were held in 2019, resulting in 6,000 residents learning the skills and tools to help someone who is suicidal. Over 75,000 students are served by Hope Squads in 88 schools across 9 districts. We also provide critical funding for depression research. The dollars raised through this year’s virtual event will help us continue this vital work.
This year is our 7th Annual Bring the Conversation to Light event will be on Wednesday, November 18th at noon. It is designed to bring attention to and raise funds for this critical cause. Just like in years past, this free hour-long event will feature dynamic speakers and impactful stories to help us shine a light on suicide and depression.

Susan E Foster
We are fortunate to have Susan E Foster as our Honorary Chair of the virtual event. Susan E Foster lives in Fort Worth and is a mother and author who has her own story of loss that eventually turned into survival and faith. She lost one of her four children to suicide and knows all too well the cobblestone road of recovery and the mission to eradicate suicide.

Terry Bentley Hill
Our Keynote Speaker is Terry Bentley Hill. Terry is a nationally recognized, award winning mental health advocate and criminal defense attorney in Dallas. Through her law practice, she has worked with clients struggling with mental illness. She was profoundly touched by the JEHF mission after losing her first husband and daughter to suicide after they suffered from depression. Terry is a strong voice for those experiencing a mental health crisis. She believes stigma must be removed and that there is always hope through healing.
We need your help and support to make this year’s event as successful as it has always been. We wish we could all gather in-person, but this will truly be the next best thing! Won’t you please join us along with our speakers, board and staff members, and others who believe in our mission?
