TARRANT COUNTY SCHOOL FAIR IS A FREE, FAMILY-FRIENDLY EVENT ON SAT, JAN 28, HOSTED BY FAMILIES EMPOWERED. MEET LOCAL SCHOOLS AND ENJOY FAMILY FUN.
As parents try to determine what is best for their children’s education, an upcoming event is designed to give them knowledge of their options.
The Tarrant County School Fair will be Saturday, Jan. 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Fort Worth Stockyards Stampede Room, located at 140 E. Exchange Ave., Fort Worth.
The free event is hosted by Families Empowered, a Texas nonprofit dedicated to providing free, personalized support to parents with information about the various educational options available to their children. At the fair, parents can meet local schools, get free one-on-one application help in English and Spanish, and enjoy family fun.
A wide array of schools will be in attendance at the fair, and parents can look among them for the best option for their students. Not only will brick and mortar schools be on hand, virtual school options and homeschooling resources will also be represented. The full range of educational options will be available for parents.
While parents are getting the information they need to secure their children’s futures, the kids will be able to enjoy face painting, balloon animals, a photobooth, live music, and more. In addition, Families Empowered will conduct a bicycle giveaway, a pair of $100 gift cards are up for grabs, and the first 100 children will get a free stick horse.
Not only can parents attend the Tarrant County School Fair, they can reach out to Families Empowered by phone or online. The local number is 817-663-2004 and the comprehensive website can be accessed at familiesempowered.org. All the organization’s services are provided in Spanish as well as English.
