What does beauty mean to you?
Confidence is beauty. It doesn't matter the amount of make up you wear, the filter to your insta, how often you get highlights, or especially what size you are. What matters most is the way you carry yourself, how you treat other people when they aren't looking, and the impressions you make on other peoples' lives.
Who is your beauty/style icon?
Jackie Kennedy Onassis and Kate Middleton — their look is almost one in the same. I love that classic, understated feminine look that can be dressed up or down.
Who is your female role model, and why?
I don't believe there is any one woman that we should look up to. Instead, I believe in finding something inspiring about every woman I meet and making that a personality trait within myself to be an original rather than a carbon copy of someone.
What are your hobbies?
I love learning languages! I am bilingual in French and English and am continuing to study Italian, Japanese and Mandarin and hope to learn Farsi soon!
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.
I am incredibly competitive. From competing at Miss Texas and pageantry in general, hiking Diamond Head and Maka Pu'u fastest in Hawaii, or a karaoke contest to see who sings the loudest I love to give it one hundred percent. I may not win everything, but I always give it my all!
Why did you choose Fort Worth?
Originally, I did not choose Fort Worth. After my dad retired from the Marine Corps and transitioned to the "civilian world" we finally called Fort Worth home. I left for college on the East Coast and moved several places as an Au Pair, but realized that Fort Worth was everything I never knew I always wanted! As the bumper sticker says, I may not have been born here, but I got here as fast as I could!
What is your favorite thing about Fort Worth?
I love Brunch! There are so many places whether you are in downtown Fort Worth at Bird Nest Cafe or Fred's, off West 7th at Gloria's or in the Hospital district at Cat City Grille or Paris Coffee Shop you will not find people more welcoming anywhere else especially in the mornings.
What do you consider your best feature or characteristic? (physical or non-physical)
The best part of me is faith. I think features and characteristics change as you mature, and the faith to stay focused in Christ through trying times allows those characteristics that make you who you are grow daily.
