How to Get on Grace Mitchell's HGTV Show
Fort Worth homeowners dreaming of a TV makeover can drop the remote — HGTV is coming to them.
High Noon Entertainment and HGTV’s show “One of a Kind,” starring Fort Worth designer Grace Mitchell, is looking for homes within 20 minutes of Fort Worth to make over for its second season.
The show wants homeowners who are interested in major renovations and have a preexisting $100,000 renovation budget. Selected homes will have two to three spaces renovated, and homeowners must be willing to vacate during the renovation.
“One of a Kind” follows Mitchell as she works to renovate homes to better suit their owners, whether it be taking the side of an old Volkswagen and turning it into a wall ornament, or using a vintage basketball court to create a kitchen backsplash.
Mitchell said she wants to showcase Fort Worth and its local tradesman and artists on a national platform this season.
“It’s the best big city and small town,” she said. “I love all the art and culture.”
According to Jen Barackman, casting associate producer at High Noon Entertainment, the show will be casting until August, though it’s a “loose deadline.” More information and the application for the show can be found here.
