Locally owned furniture brand Jovili opened a pop-up shop in June at The Crossing at Camp Bowie shopping center. "We're stocking everything you see online that you want to touch and feel before furnishing your home," said Jovili Founder Stephen Rivers. The retail space is stocked with the brand's mid-century modern and Scandinavian-inspired designs. Rivers founded Jovili last year after discovering a need for well-made affordable furniture while building his own home. "The company's name, Jovili, was chosen simply because you can't say it without smiling; just as you shouldn't walk into your home without feeling satisfied with your surroundings," reads the Jovili website.
The company eliminates typical furniture costs by operating without a warehouse or brick-and-mortar location. The result is affordable pieces, like the now sold-out Parker Chair – a moss green velvet upholstered chair that retails for $699.
The Jovili Pop Up Shop is open Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., through the end of June. By request, appointments are also available outside of business hours.
