Arlington Heights Masonic Lodge No. 1184
A historic building at the intersection of Camp Bowie Boulevard and Hulen Street is celebrating its centennial.
Arlington Heights Masonic Lodge No. 1184 will celebrate its 100th anniversary Tuesday starting at 5:30 p.m. Attendees will be able to tour the building and enjoy a catered dinner, as well as hear remarks from Mayor Mattie Parker and "notable dignitaries," and learn about associated fraternal organizations such as Scottish Rite and York Rite, according to a news release.
Designed by lodge member John C. Davies and built on land donated by fellow lodge members W.C. Stonestreet and F.H. Sparrow, the building is noted for its classical revival-style architecture, characterized by brick, stone, arched windows, and stained glass. According to a news release, it's one of the few lodges in the state whose members still meet in their original building.
Arlington Heights Masonic Lodge No. 1184 is one of 27 Masonic Lodges around Tarrant County. The organization has approximately 5,000 members, with 150 at Arlington Heights.
