Pickle fans — here's the place to feed your obsession.
The Best Maid Pickle Emporium opens Friday at 829 W. Vickery Blvd., inside a 2,800-square-foot space stocked with all things pickle, from Best Maid swag like mugs and T-shirts to pickle jewelry made from precious metals.
But, of course, the shop also carries pickles, including harder-to-find varieties like Spicy Bloody Mary. There's also dill brine and dill juice by the gallon.
The Emporium also serves as a mini-museum featuring artifacts from Best Maid's history, along with art by local muralist Jimmy Joe Jenkins.
While the space has a test kitchen, the Emporium will not be serving food at this time, due to COVID-19 restrictions. Best Maid is also working to get a license from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission so the Emporium can sell Martin House Brewing Company's Best Maid Pickle Beer (the shop does carry Best Maid Beer Pickles though).
