Now that wearing masks is officially a requirement by the county, the City of Fort Worth is offering free masks that businesses can pick up starting Wednesday.
Masks will be available at six public libraries (Central Library, East Berry Branch, East Regional Branch, Seminary South Branch, Southwest Regional, and Golden Triangle Library). Companies must present a business card and are eligible for up to 250 masks each, in increments of 50. Pickup times are 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
The masks are funded by a portion of the CARES Act grant.
“I’ve always maintained that I never want to place unnecessary burdens on the backs of our businesses, especially as they are already struggling due to COVID-19,” Mayor Betsy Price said in a statement. “That is why it is critical we come together and support our businesses in any way possible, including providing masks to ensure the health of both customers and employees. I appreciate all the partners who came together to make this happen.”
