I remember pinching pennies every week for years to try and get a car when I was a teenager. After I made this milestone purchase, my budget consisted of car insurance, gas, and date night expenditures. That’s right, I would place my night-out budget in a different column and go to certain places in Fort Worth that would allow me to get a bigger bang for my buck. Nights out can be expensive and for some working professionals, a downright luxury. If you fall in the latter category, then there is some good news. A new study conducted by experts at the price-monitoring website PriceListo places Fort Worth in the top ten cities across the nation where you can actually enjoy a night out without breaking the bank.
According to a press release, these experts collected cost-of-living data from each US city with a population exceeding 500,000 to find out the average price of a cocktail, cab fare (three-mile journey), a bottle of wine, and a pint of beer. In addition to this, data was analyzed from the hotel site Vio to discover the median price for a one-night stay in a budget hotel for each city. The price of each category was then added together to discover an overall cost.
