The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo is offering free grounds admission on Saturday, the last day of the 23-day ag showcase.
Everybody, show up at once.
This gesture, Stock Show officials say, is a “thank you” to the citizens of Fort Worth and North Texas.
“We're celebrating the warm temperatures and sunny skies by letting everyone on the grounds for free on Saturday,” said Stock Show President and General Manager Matt Carter in a statement. “So come out to enjoy the final day of what’s been nothing short of an amazing 2026 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.”
The weather will indeed cooperate. A high of 70 is forecast. Compare that to the counterintuitive hell on earth we endured two short weeks ago.
Free grounds admission does not include access to Saturday’s rodeo at Dickies Arena, but visitors can enjoy the carnival midway, shopping, the Mattress Firm Petting Zoo, the Children’s Barnyard, rabbit and horse shows, as well as the Michelob Ultra Roadhouse and The Corkyard on Simmons Bank Plaza.
And there’s all sorts of food temptation to stretch your belt in anticipation for Shrovetide and Fat Tuesday.
